To bring the slow-motion shot to life, we used a particle system that simulates stones and grass being thrown from under the wheels. This added realism to the scene, making the kart feel truly connected to the environment as it sped through the track.
We blended real footage with 3D by tracking a real driver and placing a CG helmet on top. This method captured real reflections and lighting from the 3D scene, creating a seamless mix of real and digital elements that wouldn’t be possible with only live-action footage.

We recreated the karts from Karting Club Tenerife, matching their shape, stickers, and details. This ensured the CG karts looked identical to the real ones.
Real go-kart sounds were recorded at the track to match the animated movements. This gave us an authentic feel, making the scene more immersive.
Certain track elements were unique to this location, so we modeled and textured them in Blender. These details were crucial in making the environment look identical to the real karting track, reinforcing the realism of the entire scene.
